KKG hosted a succulent sale to raise funds for "Relay for Life," which benefits the American Association for Cancer. Their booth was extremely successful as every single plant found a home.
The Greek community celebrated Easter by having an Easter egg hunt with their B+ heroes! They gathered in Washington Square Park, painted some eggs, and went on a fantastic egg hunt around the park.
Pi Beta Phi had a bake sale to benefit their national philanthropy of "Read, Lead, Achieve." They had all sorts of wonderful treats, and they showed how invested they are with their service values.
NYDM officially launched! On March 23rd, NYU'S New York Dance Marathon opened up for registration, and in celebration, its executive team set up a launch party! Members of sororities and fraternities gathered together to share their excitement and had some delicious insomnia cookies!
The Delta Phi Epsilon Alpha chapter celebrated their 100-year anniversary on March 17. The mayor of New York City declared it Delta Phi Epsilon day. Congratulations DPHIE!
March couldn't get sweeter with Delta Gamma! They set up a bake sale that benefited their national philanthropy "Service for Sight". This was a wonderful idea that embodied the values of leadership and service.
March 6th was International Badge Day: all seven NYU sororities participated in it by wearing their badges. The celebration to honor sisterhood was started in 1997 by the National Panhellenic Conference. The date is recognized during March, which is also National Women’s History Month, and is set aside for International Women’s Day. The inaugural campaign was titled: “It’s as Simple as Wearing your Pin ... With Pride.”
Pi Beta Phi celebrated their day of service by working with Stories for Pirates, which is a nationally respected education and media organization, dually based in New York and Los Angeles. They turn kids' original stories into wild sketch comedy musicals featuring professional actors.
This month, AST collected clothes from all NYU Greek community members, and they will create a pop-up shop with them! The event is called "Clean Your Closet," and all proceeds will benefit their NYDM fundraiser!
AST'S sister Lucy recently published her book "You Are Worthy". The greek community showed their support by attending her launch event on March 4. Lucy is an inspiration for the community as she embodies great values. She reminds us to "Be kind not only to others but also to yourself."
